This Thanksgiving Day, spend the morning running a 5K that benefits youth and senior programs.
Thanksgiving Day is a time to be thankful for everything we have. It brings friends and families together with a big feast and great conversation–with the exception of that one uncle with outdated political views. Regardless, it’s a very humbling holiday. This Thanksgiving Day you can help the youths and the seniors by participating in a great family Turkey Day Dash 5K Run/Walk and 1K family fun run/walk.
When: November 24, 2016
Costume Contest: 7:15 am (children only)
Time: 1K at 7:30 am & 5K at 8:00 am
Where: California Lutheran University
60 W Olsen Rd.
Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this great Turkey Day Dash. Proceeds from this fine and noble Turkey Day Dash will benefit Conejo Valley YMCA youth and senior programs.
Online registration is available now and is $35 for individuals (until November 22) and $75 for families (immediate family members only). Participants will receive a Turkey Day Dash YMCA t-shirt while supplies last.
While the Turkey Day Dash 5/1K Run/Walk may be a great family event, it is not without risk. A twisted ankle or sprained wrist may merit a visit to the hospital, which will bill you through the roof. A proper health insurance policy is essential. Make sure that you are protected by contacting the independent insurance professionals at Udell Family Insurance in Westlake Village, California for all of your coverage needs.
